Navy aviation instructors most not be complacent ovsr the progress made
during the first few months of the summer training period. Soviet aviation
is continually developing, and along with tt methods of handling planes in
modern battle. Pilots must unceasingly improve their flying skill, the most
important cuaipcnent part of at. aviator's military training, in order to keep
step with. the development of technique and tactics.
Commanders of navul aviation unite must conduct flight training under
various ronditions to carry out this task. The experience of the best in
structure has shown that the basic condition for successfully teaching flying
techniques is a strict observance of progressive transition from elementary
to advanced flying and from individual to fornution flying.
A knowledge of flight laws, the princilleo of aerodynamics End the per-
for.nance characteriatice of an airplane are the basis for complete proficiency
In piloting techniques. Because of this, partiorlar attention should be paid
to even more profound studying of contemporary techniques, flight, theory, and
aviation tactics.
