SOVIET CANtRAMISN ARRIVE IN PEI-P'ING -- Ta Kung Pao. 3 Oct 49 Pei-ping, 30 September (5CNA) -- Eleven Soviet cameramen, headed by S. A, Gerasimov, arrived in Pei-p'ing on 30 September 1949. These Sovie~ cameramen are a part of the 43-member Soviet delegation who are to partic- ipate in various functions in Pei-ping. The cameramen were welcomed by Lu Ting-i, Chairman of the Central Prop- aganda Committee, CCP; and representatives from the Central Committee of the CCP, the New Democratic Youth League of Chin:.. the Sino.- wiet Friendship Aa- eociation, the Central Mo-7ing Picture Control Board, Pei-p'ing movie houses, the A31-China Students Union, the Soviet Intercultural Association, and the Soviet Far East Film Exporting Company. As opposed to those in the capitalistic nations, the Soviet publishing and printing industry is a government-owned nonprofit organization. Its main purpose is to serve the people. Because of its re- sponsible nature, any person who wants to purcue this profession should be well-educPted and must be a confirmed Communist Party-liner, she added.
