industry fulfilled the third-quarter groee-production plan 97 percent, '.qclnding
104 percent for Union enterprises, 89 percent for Union-Republic eA.arprises, and
104 percent for Republic enterprises. In the third quarter 1949 production out-
put Increased 36 percent over the third quarter 1948, Including 45 percent for
Union enterprises, 31 percent for Union-Repub],ic, and 17 percent for Republic
enterprises. The groac-production plan was fulfilled by individual ainintries

Petrozavodsk city Industry fulfilled the third-quarter gross-proauction plan
100 percent ant increased gro.,e production 40 percent over the third quarter 1948.
The city's industry, while exceeding the gross-production plan, failed to meet the
plan for fired brick, electric power, prefabricated houses, end other products,'
Kalevaly Bayou and Rayon Sheltozerskiy fulfilled ant exceeded the third-quarter
plan. Although the following rayons topped the gros.;-produetien plan, they failed
to meet the plan for the prodv.cte indicated: I.oukhakiy -- fish catch; Pitkparant-
ekiy - ? '.egging and hauling of tinter; Sage .i,akiy -- fish catch, logging and 1 u1-
iag of timber; S ozerskiy -- logging; Sortaval'skiy -- marble, cellulose, lumber,
furniture, and skie. Industries in Belomor3kiy, Kesten'gskiy, Petrovskiy, and
Prionezhekiy rayons have continually failed to meet production plans this year.
The Kirov Railroad System fulfilled the third-quarter plan for total. can load-
ing 114 percent, Including 86 percent for loading lumber, and 109 percent for load-
ing firewood.
The Ministry of Automobile Transport fulfilled the third-quarter plat for
freight handling 98 percent in tans and 103 percent in ton-kilnmetere, and the
passenger transport plan 107 percent.

The third-quarter state plan for capital investment in Republic construction
projects was fulfilled 73 percent by Union-Republic and Republic miniotries and or-
ganizations. The third-quarter capital construction plan was mt by individual min-
iwtries and organizations as follows:
