more commercial timber than the plan.
16. Glavdal'lee (Pain Administration of Far Eastern Timber) -- pledged
to make up in 1949 its 1948 deficit of 254,000 cubic meters of timber and to
produce 65,000 cubic meters above the 1949 plan, the latter to be supplied by
Ehabarovskles Trust.

8,300,000 rubles north of construction and installation work above the 1949 plan.
M. Ya. Zav?yalov, chief engineer of Dvinoles Trust, reports that the
continuous method of logging was inaugurated in the trust in May 1949 by a
brigade at the Levkovskiy Logging Point of Rovdino Timber Management. The
brigade used a TL-3 electric winch for skidding.
The brigade warked in a grove of pine, spruce, and birch trees with
resources of 120 cubic meters per hectare. The average log had a content of
0.2 cubic meters.
The brigade consisted of 16 workers divided into three sections: the
five-man felling section consisted of the electric saw operator, his assistant,
and three branch trimmers. The three-man skidding section was composed of the
winch operator, the log hooker-on, and the log hooker-off. The eight-man yard-
ing section consisted of the bucker, tieing an electric saw, who is in charge
of the entire brigade, hle assiotant who was also the length marker, and six
sorters and loaders.
Output for the entire brigade, including all processes frcmelling to
loading onto the logging railroad cars, was as high as 3 cubic meters per man-
day
At present, a total of 12 electric skidding windhee and six PBS-60 portable
electric power plants are being pldcad into operation at the logging enter-
prises of the Dvinoles Trust.
