The first rice to be grown in Arges Judet h'i just been harvested at the

state farm in Izvorul de Sue Commune. The yield was 2,903 kilograms per hectare.
The success of the state farm in Izvorul de Sue has impelled the workers at the
state farm. in Ratesti (Arges Judet) to prepare 50 hectares to be sown in rice.

The workers of Dragodana Commune in Dambovita Judet have constructed a levee
to protect the arable area from flooding by the Potop River. By voluntary cork,
4,400 cubic meters of soil have been moved, earth and gravel have been brought up,
and an 80O-meter-long levee built.
