This generates a feeling of rr_soonsibility in the Communist for the quality of the panes, m O also draws the attention of the whole Party organization to the work of the young Conun-onist. Several candidates have read excellent rrports on "Basic i'ec:.tu ee cf the Marxian Dialec, ical.Method," "The Victory of tie. Great Cctober dacialist devolution," and "V. I. Lenin's Pooh, Chto Delat', and t.: Ideoi.ogicnl C_undations of the Bolshevik Party." In lane with this, candidates are often assigned Several good examples can be given to show how, in carrying out Party missions, young Cosununist grow, show their a:n.lities, acquire good habits of rational rnd nol`ic?.] work, nd broaden their outlook. Checking on how missions are carried out, the Party organization follows the development of every Party candidate and gradually assigns more serious tasks to him. For example, Party candidate Comrade A. Arakelyan carried out several missions in aiding the Komsomol organization of the mechanics faculty and is now a member of the Komsomol Committee of the institute. Party candidates Comrades M. Martirosyan and V. Khemchyan completed individual missions connected. with chats on organization and with publication of the wall newspaper, after which they were promoted to agitator positions. They have now been elected secretaries of the faculty Komsomoi organizations. Candidate Comrade C. Aramyan was com- missioned by the Party bureau to assist in the organization of a student scien- tific society and is now director of that society. Another candidate, Comrade K. Sa:-kisya.n, is directing a section of is student scientific society of the mechanics faculty. Candidates Comrades A. Aresyan and E. ;afaryan ha re coped well with their mission of directing DOEAIIM and DOSAV primary organizations at the institute. The practice at Party meetings of listening to reports by secretaries cf faculty Party organizations on how Ccmmunists fulfill their Pasty missions justifies itself. The Party organization tries to train young Communists primarily f,r the vanguard role in studies and for all-round preparation as qualified specialists. This also determines the nature of Party missions. Many missions are connected with the pcrt'.cioation of Party candidates and xembers in the student scientific society, aidirg backward students, cooperation with profeCear and instructors, and the organization of the educational process. Most Part; candidates are outstanding students and table an active part in the work of the student scientific society. They attend scien;Ifi.c conferences and give reports on questions of practical scientific significance. Young Communists must study the work of the whole Party organization. The Party meeting plays an important educational role in this regard. Along with Party members, candidates take part in preparing and 'tiec.:eeing questions at Party meetings. At one meeting K. Sarkisyan, Party candidate and student of the mechanics faculty, proposed establishing clo.ie ties with industry and aiding workers and foremen in improving industrial methods and operational procedures. t SEWEt 50X1-HUM Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2011/09/28: CIA-RDP80-00809A000600280760-7 Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2011/09/28: CIA-RDP80-00809A000600280760-7 institute become the patron of various shops of the ,i.anti imeni 1zerzninsa.y Drawing Party candidates into active work and watching their devc1o ent, the Party organization helps them to prepare for membership in the VKP(). In the past year, 21 persons became Party members. Aside from this, however, there are serious shortcomings in the education of Party caadidates and members. The Party bureau of the institute and the faculty Party organization still do not know iiow to draw all Communists into has been working out measires for increasing educational work with young Com- munists and drawing them into active Party life. -- A.
