In the middle of December 19i9, the Office of Internal Affairs in Kangso, Pyongan TTamdo, was completely,destrcyed by a mysterious fire. the Comanuniso authorities, immediately arrested 200 students of Chongjir_ Junior High School in han;;nc. Earlier, at the end of November 1949, the students of Sinp'o Senior High .School, in Hamkyong Tdando, staged an anti-Communist strike at the school, and 15 loaders were arrested at he scene.
