This 63-page paper-bound brochure is used as a textbook in courses fnr
engineering-technical cadres of the petroleum ind-ostry. It provides a short
review of the methods of investigating oil wells and levels, applicable in
industry.
The theoretical fundamentals underlying the employment of echometric
methods are examined in greater detail. A method of measuring levels by
means of elastic waves and examples of investigation of oil wells by this
method are given.
On the ? :^is of such investigations, an analysis of the York of -4-
operations by the Syzraulneft' Trust is provided. Also, the general character
of the pumping operations in the Second Baku is given.
The last L.hapter gives information on the methodology of measuring gas
flow and output by means of a disk meter and Pitot tube, In the determina-
tion of gas output an accurate method is described.
