The weather for the past 24 hours has continued cold with changeable
skies, at times very cloudy. There has been snow, rain, and hail in the
southern and eastern part of Rumania, with heavy snows in the mountains.
Rain was falling this morning over most of the country, with continued snow-
falls in the mountains. Variable winds becoming strong locally. Yesterday's
maximum temperatures (centigrade) were 16 degrees in Banat and one degree at
Brusturoasa. The 0500 temperatures today were 6 degrees at Turnu-Severin
and minus 5 degrees at Predeal. Yesterday's temperatures at the Baneasa Air-
port (Bucharest) varied between 9 degrees and minus 2 degrees. The 0800 tem-
perature today was 2 degrees.
Weather forecast -- The weather for the next 24 hours will continue cold,
with changeable skies. There will be rain, hail, or snow in most of the coun-
try. The temperature will drop slightly. Fairly strong northerly winds. Fog
and snow in the mountains.

The weather for the past 24 hours has continued cold, with overcast skies.
There has been rain throughout the country except in the Tisa Plain. Moderate
northerly winds. Yesterday's maximum temperatures (centigrade) were 13 degrees
at Lugo) and minus one degree in the mountains. Today's 0500 temperatures were
4 degrees at Barlad and Calafat and minus 3 degrees at Predeal. Yesterday's
temperatures at the Baneasa Airport were 7 degrees and minus one degree. The
0800 temperature today was 2 degrees.
Weather forecast -- The weather for the next 24 hours will continue vet,
with overcast skies. Snow will continue to fall in northern Moldavia and in
the mountains. Rising temperature. Moderate east and northeast winds.

The weather has remained unchanged during the past 24 hours, with over-
cast skies in most of the country. Continued snowfalls in Moldavia and in
the mountains, with rain in the southern part of the country. Northerly winds.
Yesterday's maximum temperatures (centigrade) were 13 degrees at Timisoara and
minus 3 degrees at Predeal. The 0500 temperatures today were 4 degrees at
Satu-Mare and minus 3 degrees at Predeal. Yesterday's temperatures at the Ban-
ease. Airport were 4 degrees and one degree. The 0800 temperature today was 3
degrees.
Weather forecast -- The weather for the next 24 hours will continue cold
and cloudy. There will be snow in the mountains and in the eastern part of
the country, with intermittent rains in the rest of Rumania. Northerly winds.

During the past 24 hours, snow has continued to fall in the mountains,
with rain in Moldavia and in the southeastern part of Rumania.
Weather forecast -- The weather will continue unsettled for the next 24
hours, especially in the eastern part of the country and in the mountains.
Temperature unchanged. Gentle, local rains in the eastern sections. Moderate,
northerly winds.

In the past 24 hours, the weather has been fair in most of Rumania, with
northerly winds. The thermometer has been rising. Yesterday's maximum temper-
atures (centigrade) were 19 degrees in the Danube basin and 6 degrees in the
mountainous regions. The 0500 temperatures today were 6 degrees at Iasi and
minus 3 degrees at Petrosani.
Weather forecast -- For the next 24 hours, the weather will remain fair
in Transylvania and the Danube basin, with cloudy skies in the eastern part of
the country. Northerly winds. Rising temperatures.
