The Statistics Administration Uzbek SSR reports the following data on
fulfillment of the first-quarter 1950 production plan. Gross production
during the first quarter 1950 increased 19 percent over the first quarter
1949, including 28 percent for Union enterprises and 12 percent for Union-
Republic, Republic, and local enterprises. Individual enterprises fulfilled
the plan as follows:

trifugal pumps; "Tashsel 'mash" Plant -- cotton-picking machines; "Pod"yemnik"
Plant -- hoist cranes; carborundum plant -- coarse-grain grinding wheels; Plant
imeni Kaganovich -- capital repair of locomotives and railroad cars; Ministry of
Construction Materials Industry Uzbek SSR -- cement and fired brick; Ministry
of Local Industry -- lime, gypsum, carts, silk fabrics, footwear, leather goods,
and soap.
