of the 51orl.d Congress fog the i'resexvation of Peace which demands unconditional
outlawing of atomic weapons, and brands as a war criminal the first government
At px?e~ent, the peop.l~~ cf the world have t.we paths to travel: 'one leads
to war and destruction, the other leads to the creation of a peaceful world.
Except for the IJS imperialistic warmongers and a small number of their sympa-
thizers, the peoplF of the world have already chosen the road which leads to
the creation of a peaceful world, a detex`miration which cannot be shaken either
by agitations or rlunors from imperia],istic varxaongers.
In the midst of ever-growing anti-impe;ial~istic movements of the people of
the world, China is in an extremely importtznt nesition. She has been subjected

If we desire a peaceful world and want to keep it peaceful, we must stand
firmly by the side of a defender of world p~acc, the USSR, and all other demo-
crstic and peace-loving nations which represent one third of the world's popula-
tion. There are many peace-loving people still oppressed by imperialistic rule
who have a firm determination to rise with the sntiwar movement and support the
peace.
47e not only oppose the use of atomic weapons, but we oppose bacteriological
warfare; tae oppose imperialistic propaganda to agitate war; we oppose the paro?.e
of German ar_d Japanese war criminals; we oppose the suppression of independence
and peace movements of people in colonies under imperialistic rule; we oppose
atrocities imposed upon the courageous democratic men and women who engage in
the promotion of peace movements in imperialistic nations; and we oppose all
imperialistic fascism.
Our work, the xorY, of religious circles, is to prevent the infiltration of
imperialism, to expel imperialistic influence= from our nation, and to expose
completely and attack vigorously the sins and evil doings which are carried out
in t}ie name of vsrious religious and relief organizations sponsored by imperial-
istic nations.
We, the ministers of religion and humanity, call upon all Christians, Bud-
dhist, Mohammedans, and those who believe in other religions to utilize their
most effective means to rise with all the peace-loving people of the world for
the preservation of world peace, for the attaiinnent of racial independence, and
for the realization of a people's democracy. Signed:
