AKPIVIST DIESEL TRACTOR SPECIFICATIONS -- Die Wirtschaft, No 9, May 49 The Aktivist tractor, produced by the Brandenburg Tractor Plant, has a 28- horsepower, two-cylinder, Your-stroke Diesel engine in V arrangement. It has a water cooling system, four forward speeds and one reverse speed, and pneu- matic tires. It can travel 3.5 to 15.25 kilometers per hour, uses 2.5 to 4.5 kilograms of fuel per hour, and weighs 2,100 kilograms, including the weight of the driver. It hss a minimum turning radius of 3 meters and can pull 18 - 24 tons in high gear oa a level road. Since this tx'actor is an entirely new model, operators are to receive a 4-week training course at the plant to become familiar with its construction and operation. Mecklenburg~s fish hatcheries furnished 18,346 kilograms of fish for stock- ing purposes and 15,492 kilograms of edible fish. FISHING FLEET GROWS -- Taegliche Rundschau, No 68, 21 Mar 50 The first of 25 loggers to be added to the fishing fleet in Sassnitz during 1950 has been placed in operation. At present the fishing fleet consists of 68 vessels. By the end of the year it is scheduled to have 185 cutters and loggers.
