An article on the lack- f cooperation.between..'management{pi the 12'facto-
cries of the China Textile Mills and labor-onions was published- in the Sha ghai
Chieh-fans Jih-pao. 1 April 1950. As a re5i11t of this article; labor and manage-
ment decided to study this troblem and its-effect-on production. From 2 through
5 April 1950, a series of conferences were held at which the ith ortanceof closer
relationship between labor and management, as well as the impfrtance of this re-
lationship to production,.were discussed.
In a speech mede by a labor-union chief,?it-was stressed..thst constructive
criticism could lead'to better cooperation and-.understanding between labor and
management, but at the same time it was recbgnized that some make the mistake
of criticizing others while failing to see their own weaknesses.
