WALBRZYCH PLANT BUILDS WASHERS -- Dziennik Zachodni, No 117, 29 Apr 50
Mining machinery and equipment are built by the Karol Metallurgical Plant
in Walbrzych. At present, the plant is building two large coal washers Ybr
the Chwalowice and the JanY.owice mines. These will be the first all-Polish-
made coal washers. Because of long-range competition programs, the coat oaihner
for the Chwalowice Mine will be completed during the third quarter of 195
stead of spring 1951 ae orginally planned, and the coal washer for Jankowice
Mine will be completed by spring 1951 instead of fell 1951?

The best results in completing May Day pledges were attained by the
Boleslax Chrobry Mine with an extraction, >+ days before schedule, of 22,186
tons of coal Instead of the 12,986 tons originally pledged.

GDANSK GASWORKS TO BE POLAND'S LARGEST -- Express Wieczorny, No 73, 1~+ Mar 50
After expansion and modernization under the Six-Year Plan, the Gdans:c
Gasworks will be the largest in Poland. The gasworks will supply illuminating
gas to all cities of the Wybrzeze (Western Coast) from Tczex to Wojherowo.
EXPAND WARSAW GASWORKS -- Trybuna Ludu, No 73, 14 Mar 50
Ea-pansion work at the Warsaw Gasworks is proceeding rapidly. Two new
generators are 95 percent complete, except for electrical work. Sixty-five
percent of installation work of the new Glover West furnace has been completed.
