THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION CHM RECEIVES FARM?EQUIPMENT FROM USSR; CCP RERE S TRADE GOODS INSPECTION USSR FARM MACHINERY REACHES CHINA -- Shanghai Ta Kung Pao, 31 May 50 Peiping, 29 May \(BQin-hue) -- The first shipment of agricultural reconstruc- tion materials, for which contracts were made with the USSR by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Central People?s government, vas delivered Rt the end of April 3950 and has been distributed for use in various districts according to plans. This shipment included farm machinery, breeding animals, and pasturage seed. The following machines have been delivered: Tractors 114 Combines 74 Planters, 2I- and 16-row 272 Spacing planters 70 Planter attachment sets 50 CLASSIFICATION COAL The following items have also been received in unspecified numbers: mowers, threshers, disc plows, spike plows, plowshares. balers, manure spreaders, seed graders, bean planters, bean harvesters, work carts, and oil: carts Repair tools and extra parts were also included ii; the shipment. These items were distributed by the Ministry of Agriculture to various na- tional agriculture stations in the North, East, and Northeast China districts during the spring planting season. The Ministry of Agriculture's School of Me- chaenized Farming has given priority to the training of technicians to operate this machinery. These trained technicians are now receiving actual experience at various wheat stations and are preparing to operate the new machinery in the summer harvest. The shipmeni; of superior breeding animals includes. 250' sheep, 50-pigs, and 1,125 horses. These sni de have been sent to various husbandry stations in the .Northeast, Chahar, Shansi, and Suiyuan for breeding, to relieve the shortage of. work animals and to raise the quality of the breed. In addition, 90 sets of arti- ficial insemination equipment have been distributed to various Northeast husban- dry stations. This type of pasturage makes excellent fertilizer and, if rotated with cotton and grains, should in- crease the production of these crops several times. REGULATES IMPORT, EXPORT INSPECTION -- Shanghai Hsin-wen Jih-pao, 31 May 50 Peiping -- The Finance and Economic Committee of the Administration Council has issued the following regulations for the guidance of the Ministry of Trade concerning the inspection of imports and exports during 1950. The chart of items to be inspected, by classes, is as follows: Exports 1. Beans -- 25 varieties 2. Peanuts 3. Vegetable seeds -- 9 varieties, including several oil seeds 4. Fruit seeds -- 6 varieties 5. Hemp -- 4 varieties 6. Cotton waste 7. Tobaccoo -- leaf 8. Tea -- 12 varieties 9. Bristles, hair, and wool -- 22 varieties 10. Down and feathers -- 11 varieties 11. Pelts -- 36 varieties 12. Hides -?? 7 varieties 13. Casings -- 14 varieties 14. Meats -- 9 varieties 15. Eggs -- 7 varieties 16. Egg products -- 11 varieties 17. Animal fats - 3 varieties 18.
