VINKOVCI XARD TO OPEN FOR TRAFFIC -- Sloveneki Porocevalec, No 15'7, ~ Jul 50?
Construction of the new classification yard in Vinkovci is almost com-
pleted. In a Pew days the rest oP the yard will be open for traffic. The
yard, which has over 30 kilometers oP track, is divided into an eastern and
a western section. Each section classifies trains Por its respective di-
rection.
The modern facilities oP the classification yard. will permit classific-
ation of trains within 30 minutes. Before construction of the new yard, claE-
sification took 4 hours.
WORK ON PROJECTED RR BEGINS -- Borba, No 161, 8 Jul 50
In May 1950, work began on the 42-kilometer standard-gauge railroad be-
twPen puracic and Doboj in Bosnia and Herzegovina. i~ben~completed, this line
will connect with the Brcko-Banovici and the 'Samac-Sarajevo lines. The dig-
ging of a 283-meter tunnel oa the line is expected to be completed by 15 July.
NARROW-GbUGE RR TO BE BUILT -- Slovenski Porocevalec, No 159, 6 Jul 50
To connect the Pljevlja basin with the Yugoslav railroad net, g narrow-
gauge railroad is plantted between Foca and Pljevlja. This railroad will con-
nect the Pljevlja basin vis the already existing Ustipraca-Foca railroad with
the Sarajevo-Viaegrad-Titovo Uzice-Cacak-Belgrade railroad line. The Foca-
Pljevlja line will be the second to be built in th'e Montenegrin Republic.
MORE BRIDGE5 OVER MORAVA RIVER --Borba, No 157, 3 Jul 5Q
Cacak, 2 July -- Recently, construction and renovation were begun on the
130-meter rail oad bridge over the Morava River in Cacak. In the vicinity of
this bridge, two smaller bridges are under construction.
