MOLDAVIAN SSR MEETS SECOND-QUARTER PLAN
The Statistics Administration Moldavian SSR reports that all industry
within the republic fulfilled the second-quarter 1950 gross-production plan
107 percent, including 108 percent by republic and local enterprises an3 103
percent by Union enterprises. The June plan was fulfilled 112 percent. Pro-
duction volume in the second quarter 1950 increased 18.5 percent over the sec-
ond quarter 1949. Individual ministries, wad trusts fulfilled the second-
quarter plan as follows:

The following ministries and organizations, -chile fulfilling and exceeding
the gross-production plan, failed to meet the plan for quantity of production of
the items indicated: Ministry of Food Industry Moldavian SSR -- laundry soap,
vegetable oil, and fish catch; Ministry of Timber and Paper Industry Moldavian
SSR -- logging, furniture production, and lumber; Ministry of Local Industry
Moldavian SSR -- aluminum ware, hard leather goods, shoes, carts, galvanized
ware, tiles, and vegetable oil.
The second-quarter gross-production was fulfilled by industry in cities
subordinate to the republic as .?ollows (in percent): Kishinev, 110; Bel'tsy,
105; Tiraspol', 111; Bendery, 116; Soroki, 120; Orgeyev, 105; and Kagul, X.
The Kishinev Railroad System fulfilled the second-quarter plan for average
daily loading 100.4 percent. Average daily carloadings on the system increased
19 percent over the second quarter 1949.
The Ministry of Automobile Transport Moldavian SSR completed 94 percent of
the uecond-quarter plan for freight hauling and 83.5 percent of the plan for
passenger transport.
The Administration of the Dnertr River Ship Line and Waterways, Council of
Ministers Moldavian SSR, fulfilled the second-quarter plan for freight hauling
104 percent, and for passenger transport 70 percent.
Ccnstruction p^ojects within the Moldavian SSR completed 91 percent of the
second-quarter plan for centralized capital construction, including 89 percent
b republic and local projects and 95 percent by Union projects. Individual
ministries, trusts, and organizations completed the plan as follows:
