Since in sinking vertical mine shafts, 60 to 65 percent of the time in-
volved is taken up in loading the blasted rock, the mechan'.zation of this
process will grentlp epc@d iay Wine sir: iag.
At present the use of the BCh-1 loader is being more and more widely
adopted in sinking vertical shafts. Either one or two machines m0.Y be used,
depending on the size of the section. The best results obtained from the use
of one BCh-1 loader were achieved in "Tsentral'no-Zavodskaya" Mine (Donbass),
"Prole?+.arskaya-Glubokaya" Mine (Donbass), and Mine No 35 of the Maykudukskiy
URSh (Karaganda). In the Pirst case, 40 to 4? meters of completed mine shaft
were finished in a month; in the second case, 3t~ meters; in the third case,
meters. The best results obtained frost using two machines war.; achieved in?
Mine Ro 10 of the Stalinshakhtovosstanovleniye Trust and "Mushketovskaya-
Vertikal'naya".l+line (Donbass). In the former case, 42 meters of completed mine
shaft were finished in s month, and in the latter case, 30 to 32 meters.
