GIVES JAT PASSENGER TRAVEL DATA -- Zagreb, Y~esnik, 29 Sep 50
In 1947, JAT (Yugoslav Air Ts'ansport) transported 22,500 passengers
within Yugoslavia and 4,000 passengers abroad. In 1949, it transported 32,000
passengers within Yugoslavia and 2,000 passengers on international lines; and,
in 1950, it transported a much greater number of passengers, In July and Au-
gust alone, JAT transported 35,000 passengers within Yugoslavia.

The "Aero-2" aircraft, the building of which began in 1949, will be used
in agriculture for spraying fields.
The JAT Workshop for the Repair and Overhaul of Aircraft Engines in-
stalled its first overhauled engine in a commercial plane during the second half
of 1949,

The Office for the Promotion of Aircraft Technology of the District Com-
mittee of the Aircraft Federation of the VoJvodina recently built a tandem bi-
plane, The plane, built by Georg Mink in the People's Technology Workshop, is
equipped with a 45-horsepower engine.. Its wing span is only 6.meters. It has
no tail surfaces because 'a special wing takes the place of the rudder. Its land-
ing speed is so low that it can land on a strip slightly longer than 50 meters,'
