were recently completed, will soon begin the production of porcelain dishes and
plumbing fixtures for general consumption.

In addition to the factory in Mladenovac, ceramic factories are being built
in Tito- Veles, Arandjelovac, Rankovicevo, Stup, and Pojatno. The ceramics com-
bine in.Titov Veles will produce household porcelain, porcelain insulators, plumb-
ing fixtures, and refractory material. A large firebrick factory will begin opera-
tion in Arandj`elovac soon. A magnesite brick factory is near completion in Ranko-
vicevo. A smal1 dielectric porcelain factory is already in operation in Stup,.near
Sarajevo. A large ceramics combine is being vuilt in Pojatno near Zapresic. The
combine will produce plumbing fixtures, various contpiners, and tiles.
The "Jastrebac" Factory, in Nis, has built large mixers for the "Keramika"
EnterMrise in Mladenovac. Two mixers, with a capacity of 500 liters each, have

The glass factory in Paracin now produces optical glass for the "Optika"
Factory in Zagreb. Soon the glass factory in Straza near Rogaska Slatina,
Slovenia, will produce optical glass. This factory will specialize on glass for
eyeglasses.
The "Optika" Factory now produces glass for eyeglasses in the plus diopter
category up to No 4. At present, the factory is making preparations to produce
glass for eyeglasses in the minus diopter category.
Among the products exhibited by the "Optika" Factory at the Zagreb Fair
are a Yugoslav-made'astronomical telescope which magniies 150 times, camera
lenses, magnifying glass, and optical prisms.
EDIBLE OIL FACTORY TO BEGIN OPERATION -- Belgrade,Borba, 15 Oct 50
Sarajevo, 14 October -- The first edible oil factory in Bosnia and Herze-
govina will be in operation soon. Most of the machinery of the factory was built
by the "Jedinstvo" Factory in Zagreb. The factory will process up to 6 carloads
of raw material 5eriod not indicate7, such as sunflower seed, rape seed, and soy-
beans.
Titograd, 11 October -- Over 2 months ago the construction of a prefabricated
house factory began in?Zabjelo near Titograd. The main shop will cover an area
of 6,000 square meters and will be 160 meters long. Six large shops for the
storage of finished products will be built next to the main shop.
Split, 22 October -- A large lumber combine, named "Partizan," is being
built in Obrovac, Dalmatia, The combine, which will produce household furniture
and lumber, will begin operation at the beginning of 1951.
