Because Communist were considered to be in danger, the SNB (National Security Corps) organized an attack on the partisans. In this attack, which used Kralova Lehota and Hyby as bases, the commander of the Kralova Lehota SNB station lost his life. The Minister of the Interior reported to the Security Committee of the National Assembly that, in view of the increasing resistance of the population, 3,000 reliable Communists had been newly recruited for the SNB. During the first 10 months of 1949, 106 members of the SNB lost their lives. In January 1950, the SNB had 56,000 members.
