PEpiN-ELBASAN LINE WELL UNDER WAY -- Tirana, Bashkimi, 31 Aug 50
The 32-kilometer Pegin-Elbasan railroad line, now under construction, is
well under way. Thus far, 79.38 percent of the earthwork and 71 percent of
the concrete work have been finished. Of the total trackage of 35 kilometers,
6,007 linear meters have been laid so far.
Tracks are being laid from Peqin to the Paper station, and preparatory
work has been done for laying tracks in the direction of Elbasan.
Twelve bridges have been completed. The Bishgem tunnel, a mayor project,
was finished fln 25 August.

Peshkopi (Albanian Telegraphic Agency) -.- The ~~Rz.~a~~ gtate Enterprise has
,just finished the new motor road which conaectc> the chrome mine at Bulqize with
the Tirana-peshkopi rosd at Qafe a Dullit. The new road is over 4.2 kilometers
long.
Work on the road was begun in May. previously, the ore removed Prom the
mine was carried to Qafe a Dullit by cableway. The new road goes all the way
to the gal~eriee of the mine.
About 7,500,000 lek have been spent on the new road.

DURRES YARD BUILDS MOTOR CRAFT -- Tirana, Zeri i popullit, 15 Jul 50
Durres -- The Durres Shipyard, which 5 years ago had orily one small shed
for the repair of a few insignificant vessels, has ,just launched the motor
ship 10 Korrik. The shipyard is now building motor boats, motor sailers, and
mod.era motor ships.
Vasil 7[haaxhi is the captain of the 10 Korrik.
