TEST IMPROVED KT-12 TRACTOR -- Petrozavodsk, Leninakoye Znamya, 6 Oct 50
An improved version of the KT-12 skidding tractor is undergoing tests a-&
the Liseyskiy Timber Management. In the new tractor, the units have been so
arranged as to permit an additional load of 2-3 cubic meters.

The Stalinabad TraktorodetalI Plant failed to fulfill the half-year plan.
Its current work is also marked by interruptions. It operates in outmoded
fashion, unmindful of advanced techniques and Stakhanovite achievements.
Although 39 of its machine tools are equipped for. high-speed operations,
only 17 employ this method. One reason is that the tools have not been
turned over to the workers for socialist maintenance. Asa rule, an operator
does not work more than two or three shifts at the same machine.
The contemptuous attitude to all that is new evinced by Director Skvort-
sov, Chief Engineer Kovrigin, and Sitaikov, Chief of the Technical Divisjon,
has prevented the plant from organizing technical training courses for the
workers and discouraged innovators. Kolesov, the plant's, party secretary,'
has failed in his duty to provide the proper stimulus.

MTS of the Ministry of Agriculture failed to comply with this order. In the
first half of 1950, i.t failed to turn in 5,495 bearings (worth 132,000 rubles).
Thus, about 9,900 kilograms of high-grade metal went to the waste pile.
The cost-accounting and purchasing section of Glavavtotraktorodetal',
Ministry of Automobile and Tractor Industry USSR, has been liquidated. All
claims must be addressed by 21 October to the Moscow Glavavtodetall office;

At the Yerevan Avtodetal? Plant, a furnace has been built for smelting
metal shavings. It has the form of an eight-step pyramid, 1.8 meters high
with diameters 1.2 to 1.0 meters.
FULFILLMENT OF TRUCK ORDER UNDER WAY -- Stalinabad, Kommunist Tadzhikstana,

On 6 September 1950, the Moscow Automobile Plant imeni Stalin completed
15 of the 125 trucks ordered by'the Stalingradgidrostroy (Stalingrad Hydro-
electric Construction Project).
The Gor?kiy Automobile Plant imeni Molotov has dispatched its first
group of trucks to the Kuybyshev and Stalingrad hydroelectric construction
projects.
The Moscow Automobile Plant imeni Stalin has dispatched about 100 ZIS-150
trucks and some gas-cylinder trucks using liquefied gas 3s its contribution to
the construction of the Kuybyshev GES.
MANS BEARINGS FOR SHEET-ROLLING MILL -- Moscow, Vechernyaya Moskva, 21 Oct 50
In a short time, the Moscow First State Bearing-Plant produced a large
quantity of large-dimensional. bearings for a sheet-rolling mill of the Magni-
togorsk Metallurgical Combine.
