LISTS PEIPING TRAINS, APRIL 1950 -- Mukden, Tung-pei Jih-pao, 24 Apr 50
Peiping, 23 April (Hsin-hua) -- The Ministry of Railways has publishes. newtime-
tables for all the railways in China which will become effective on'25 April 1950.
According to the new timetables, the following four trains will leave Peiping each
Peiping--Man-chou-li express, with direct connections. Leaves Peiping at 2210
and arrives Man-chou-1i at 0640 on the fourth day; traveling time, 56 hours 33 minutes.
Peiping--Mukden through express. -Leaves Peiping at 1445 and arrives Mukden at
1119 on the second day; traveling time, 20 hours 34 minutes.
Peiping--Shanghai through express. Leaves Peiping at 1610 and arrives Shanghai
at 0508 on the third day; traveling time, 36 hours 58 minutes.
Peiping--Hankow through express. Leaves Peiping at 1705 and arrives Hankow at
1249 on the third day; traveling, time, 43 hours 44. minutes.
The, following trains will be added from 25 April 1950:
;A1 Ordinary through trains between Peiping and Sian, Harbin and Tsintar,
Tsingtao and P'u-k'ou and Cheng-chow, Wu-ch'ang and Nan-ch'ang, and Shanghai and
Wu-hu.
2.:+Eapress through trains between Sian and Suchow, and Nanking and Hangchov.
Through express trains will be maintained as before between Wu-ch'ang and Canton,
Shanghai and Canton, and Peiping and T'ai-yuan.

Bureau has announced a new set of timetables. Some of the important are as follows:

Tsinan -- The Tsinan Railway Sub-Bureau announces new timetables for the
Huai--Nan Railway Line, effective 5 September 1950. These new operating schedules
were adopted because service has been interrupted for 2 months due to damage by~
water to the line between Pang-fou and Shui-chia-hu. In spite of the repairs
that have been made, lower speeds are demanded, thus necessitating new schedules.
