The Statistics Administration Georgian SSR reports that?Georgian industry
fulfilled the 1950 gross-production plan 106 percent, including 100.8 percent
by Union industry and 109 percent by republic industry. In 1950, gross-produc-
tion output increased 11 percent over 1949, including 10 percent by Union in-
dustry and 12 percent by republic industry. Considerable quantities of the fol-
lowing industrial products were produced above the 1950 plan: mangahese ore,
petroleum, metal-cutting machines, looms, cement, lime, woolen fabric, knit un-
derr'rear, butter,lvegetable oil, tea, and others.
Individual ministries and organizations of the Georgian SSR fulfilled the
1950 gross-production plan as follows:

Kutaisi Leather Shoe Combine -- chrome leather footwear; Garment Factory No 6

Kolkhozes of the republic considerably exceeded the 1950 plan for plowing
new land. Fourteen percent more plowing was completedercentimore wheat was1949,

plans for planting fruit orchards and vineyards were also completed. The plans
for soil preparation for the regeneration of citrus plantings were exceeded.
More feed for collectivized animal husbandry was procured by kolkhozes than
in 1949. Four percent more coarse fodder for conversion into 20 ercent morel
than in 199, but the procurement plan was not met. In 1950, P

Construction projects in the republic fulfilled 99 percent of the 1950 plan
