In 1950, gross-produc- tion output increased 11 percent over 1949, including 10 percent by Union in- dustry and 12 percent by republic industry. Considerable quantities of the fol- lowing industrial products were produced above the 1950 plan: mangahese ore, petroleum, metal-cutting machines, looms, cement, lime, woolen fabric, knit un- derr'rear, butter,lvegetable oil, tea, and others. The plans for planting fruit orchards and vineyards were also completed. The plans for soil preparation for the regeneration of citrus plantings were exceeded. More feed for collectivized animal husbandry was procured by kolkhozes than in 1949.
