ITS iRRX]NI NI]fION OR TM[ RtVtLfiIOX THIS IS UNEVALUATED iINFORMATION REPORTS NEW SOURCE OF RUBBER DISCOVERED IN SINKIANG RUBBER PRODUCING PLANT GROWS WILD -- Hong Kong, Wen-hui Pao, 10 Jan 51 Peiping, 8 January (Hain-hua) -- A hitherto undiscovered area producing wild rubber plants of the chrysanthemum-dandelion family (kok-sagyz) has been located in. Sinkiang. According to reports on preliminary tests, made at the laboratories of tbgrMinistry of Heavy Industry in Peiping, the rubber produced from this plant is equal to the raw rubber produced in Southeast Asia in elasticity, glossiness, and industrial possibilities. Various agencies of the Peiping government have sent investigators to the area to test the soil, meteorolog- ical conditions, and the types of the plants with a view to their possible large-scale culture in North, Northwest, or Northeast China.
