Risto Bajalski, Macedonian Minister of Trade and Supply, stated that
the 1950 plan for the turnover of goods was fulfilled 99.9 percent. The
1950 plan for the federal and republic guaranteed supply was fulfilled 102
percent, commerce at tied prices 79.3 percent, and the free market 107.1
percent.

At a recent session of the People's Skupstina of Macedonia, Naum Nau-
movski, Minister and Chairman of the Council for Agriculture and Forestry,
stated that because of the drought only 58 percent of the 1950 agricultu-
ral plan for Macedonia was fulfilled, and that agricultural production
amo'inted to only 2,574,000,000 dinars instead of the planned 4,395,000,OC0
dinars. The plan for. grain production was fulfilled 78 percent, indus-
trial plants 47 percent, vegetables 43 percent, fodder 25 percent, grapes
63 percent, and livestock 81 percent. The failure of the-1950 plan meant
a loss of 1,820,854,000 dinars,
In Macedonia, at the end of 1950, there were 947 farm work coopera-
tives, with a membership of 70,697 families. This means that 53 percent
of all agricultural families in Macedonia belonged to farm work coopera-
tives. These cooperatives had 247,596 hectares of arable lana in 1950, or
22 percent more than in 1949, In the fall of 1950, 30,000 more hectares
of land were planted than'in'the-fall Of'1949.
In 1950, 364,307,000 dinars were spent for capital construction in the
state sector, and 651,079,000 dinars in the cooperative sector. The 1951
investment plan calls for; 288,465,000 dinars to be spent for capital con-
struction in the state sector, and 360 million dinars in the cooperative
sector.
