The Toplivo Fuel Enterprise sells coal, lignite, and firewood at the
following prices (in leva per ton): Pirin coal 5,800, large lump coal
3,800)ordinary coal 2,800, Republika Mine coal 2,250, lignite 2,200, an-
thracite 2,800, pea coal 9,300, washed coal 3,300,--firewbod 6,300 and fire-
Abod at'free mdrket prices 8,125. Charcoal is sgld ip bulb at 22 leva per
kilogram, in,packages at 26 leva per kilogram, and kindling wood at 11
leva per kilogram.
INTRODUCE NEW FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM -- Sofia, Izgrev, 27 Feb 51
According to plans for 1951, the Toplivo Fuel Enterprise will supply
the population with 103 percent more coal and firewood than in 1950. Top-
livo will also supply the rural population enrolled in farm workers' coop-
eratives and MTS. This new, expanded program calls for new work aetho3s.
The credit system has been abolished. Enterprises and institutions are
now asked to make a preliminary survey of their members' requirements and
promptly submit their requests for the desired quantities of fuel. Every
organization will appoint one person responsible for handling fuel orders.
Every employee will submit a note stating his personal data and sign for
the amount he is due to pay for his fuel. The amounts will be withheld

The 1951 fuel supply plan is established by the Council of Ministers,
on a quarterly basis, and will be strictly followed. Only the Council of
Ministers is authorized to introduce any changes in the plan. The en*re
supply of fuel for 1951 should be furnished before the end of Octcber 1951.
Free sale of fuel materials will be authorized until 5 March 1951, but this date only the planned collective quotas will be supplied. D
