THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION ISSUE NEW REGiJLATIONS GOVERNING INSURANCE, PATENTS LOWER INSURANCE RATES ~~ Berlin, Nachrichten fuer Auasenhandel, 20 Jan 51 The state~~owned insurance companies in the German Democratic Republic have reduced the coat of premiums and improved insurance coverage. Differen~ tiation between rates for small and large policies has been abolished. More- over, higher premiums will no longer be charged for policies covering persons exposed to special occupational hazards. All policies in force will provide for accident indemnity, without red striction as to age. Even in the case of accident insurance, premiums will not be upped because the insured is exposed to unusual hazards. The new rates apply to all life insurance and endowment policies issued by people- owned insurance companies since 1946. Renewal of old policies will be con tinued at the old rates. The insurance company is to cover sll transportation risks within and outside the borders of the German Democratic Republic.
