Tetovo, 8 May ~??~ Th~~ spinning mill of the textile r_ombine being built
near Tetovo has begun the first experimental production of wool yarn. Witbin
a Pew days the fi~st shipment of yarn will be delivered to the textile fac-
tories in Skopl,,e r.~r proc:essing into kRitt2d products. T'nis will be the
first wo.~ yarn ~.-,~.,a~ed in MacEdonia and made from Macedonian raw materials.

At present the mill is making a heavy yarn for use in making blankets and
winter coats, and for knitting After other machinery is installed for twiatd
ing thread, wo.I and cotton thread of varying thicknesses will be produced.
When completed, the spinning mill will have 24 machines for twisting
thread and about 1.0,000 spindles. Six machines for twisting thread are al~
ready in operation,. Installation of the other machines is being completed.
Installation of auxiliary sections is also being expedited. Two machines
hawe been installed in the renoY~eting ehop, and two machines for mixing wool
are in operation in a nearby section Installation of electrical equipment
and o+.her machineay is also in progress here.
The "Eaton" Construction Enterprtae from SkoplJe is continuing construe=
tion work on other buildings for the combine. The building for drying wool
is being cemented, and the foundation has been excavated for the boiler.

Vrsac, 8 May ~~ The "Zarko ZrenJaain" Agricultural Machinery Factory and
Foundry has produced the first prototype of an electrically driven wine pump.
With the help of a specially made cock, wine can be pumped in or out without
changing the r_^~ck~
The capacity of the pump is 6,000 liters of wine per hour, and the first
series of 200 pumps is now being produced.

store on 3 lday, in Split. Ssles the Piret dsy mmon~ed fib over 1,500;000
dinars. About 150 ladies' ~lasti~ raincoats were sold for 900 dinars and
900 coupons each. A large number of ~lasti~ umbrellas,.,ladies' handbags,
aprons, chi2dren'a capes, etc., also were sold.
