machine tools were tc 't~- c~nv^.rtrd to high-speed cutting. Acrording to the
1950 agr?eemsnt, more tLa*! h?.1J' of the machine tools were to be converted to the
high-speed system. The '1.y'i agreement 'provides for coevei`tii!(3 ull metal-cutting
equipment to High-speed methods.
Already, SG percent: of 'the machine tools are equipped with hard-alloy-tipped
cuttezs and pneumatic chuc:'ra, and 138 Stakhanovire echeols have been organized<
The agreement states that; 1!)0 instructors shall be 3esignated to teach Stakhano-
vite work methods, S*.akhanovitF. sL.lioels are cenduct.ed after the workday is over.
However, since t:he majority of machine?tool "operators are st,udyipg in schools
and technical. schools after work, the instrvcLOra also teach the latest work
method~nr. the job .

problems for scizntific-research insti.tates. The Elsctrotechnical Institute
