The Leningrad Elektroapparat Plant has shipped a large consignment of in-
door and outdoor disconnecting switches and current trenuforaerrrto the Kuybyshev,
Stalingrad, and Volga-Don Canal projects,
The plant is now preparing to build high-power transformers, and the first
parts have already been made in the current transformer shop. The plant plans
to assemble the first high-power transformer by 1 May.
Plant experts have developed the design of a high-voltagecdi.stributing appass,
ratus. for the type ESh-1075 walking excavator, which has a 14.cubic-meter bucket.
The plant has made three sets of distributors, and, will turn out two more by
1 May.
The Kharkov Electrical Installation Equipment Plant has constructed and
shipped a transformer substation to the Stalingrad Hydroelectric Station site
3 days ahead of time. The plant has started the output of mobile workshops for
electrical installation work, and has shipped the first lot of them to the Volga-
Don Canal site.
The Leningrad Elektrosila Plant imeni S. M. Kirov is working on hydrogener-
ators with shafts weighing more than 30 tons for the Tsimlyansk Hydorelectric S.
Station. Assembly and welding of hydrogenerator stators has begun.

The Kharkov Electrical Machinery Plant imeni Stalin has shipped two powerful
generators to the builders of the Main Turkmen Canal ahead of time. A large con-
signment of hxploaion-proof motors was shipped to the Kuybyshev Hydroelectric
Station 2 wee:xs ahead cf time.

The electric motor shop of the Mogilevsk Metalworking Combine has exceeded
its February plan for motor output by 117.1 percent. Electric motors for the
Volga-Don Canal were shipped out 1-Iff months ahead of schedule. 'Motors-for'the
Novo-Krametorsk Plant imeni Stalin and for road- and construction-machine-
building enterprises which assemble equipment for the hydro..lectric projects
were also shipped ahead of time.
The VoUkovskiy Pig-Iron-Casting Plant, Grodno Oblast, does not supply cast-
ings to the Mogilevsk Combine on time, sends very low quality castings, and thus
hinders fulfillment of the plan for output of electric motors. -- I. Gorulev,

The Ufa Electrical Equipment Plant has fulfilled the first-quarter plan for
1951 ahead of time and lowered production costs by 12 percent. The plant fills
orders for the great construction projects.
