SECOND SERIES OF TRACTORS NEAR COMPLETION ?-- Ljubljana, Slovenski Porocevalec,

The "Industrial Motora" 'Engine Industry) Enterprise in Rakovica recently
built the first series of Yugoalav-made caterpillar tractors. They were dis-
tributed to farm work cocperatives and state farms.
The enterprise is norg producing the second series of 50 tractors, which
will be completed thin month. The enterprise expects to make 1,500 tractors
in 1952.
The enterprise has a l-o begun to assemble tractors from parts imported
from the Ansaldo Factory in Itsly. Ttese tractors are large caterpillar trac-
tors for heavy work on farms, in lumbering, etc. When equipped with the proper
machinery, they can be used as bulldozers. The enterprise is assembling four
of these tractors per day. The first series of 70 such tractors will be com-
pleted by the end of April.

Krusevac, 13 May -- The "l1 October" Factory in Krusevac will soon de-
liver the first series of six mechanical rotary diggers, which were completed
in December 1950 but have been undergoing tests since that time. Flith the ex-
ception of imported ball bearings, all parts of the digger were made in Yugo-
slavia, the frame in Krusevac and the motors in Rakovica.

The new digger can dig a trench 1,000 meters long in 9 hours, and replaces
800 worke'rs.

IMPROVED CALCULATING MACHINE BEING PRODUCED -- Ljubljana, Slovenski Porocevalec,

The calculating machine factory in Zagreb has begun producing an improved
type of machine, the No 3, which is greatly superior to the old model. With
the adoption of new production methods, 1,500,000 dinars have been saved, and
the enterprise has prospects of exporting the machines. The calculating ma-
chines each contain 1,400 different parts',
The Zagreb factory is now preparing to produce electrically operated cal-
culating machines which will perform all four calcuiatinp operations. Serial
