RAILROAD LOCOMOTIVE ENGINEER SCHOOLS BEGIN
ENROLLMENT FOR 1951 - 1952 SCHOOL YEAR
The Main Administration of Educational Institutions of the Ministry of
Transportation USSR has announced the opening of enrollment in its 3-year
Pupils are provided with uniforms, room and board, and stipends of 100
rubles per month.
All physically fit male citizens of the USSR, at least 23 years of age,
who have at least a seventh-grade education, and who can pass examinations
in Russian language and literature, mathematics, and the USSR constitution are
eligible for enrollment. War veterans who graduated from the seventh grade with
grades of "Excellent," regardless of year of graduation, are exempt from en-
trance examinations.
Applications must be presented in person or sent by mail to the heads
of schools by 15 July 1951. Entrance examinations are given 1 - 15 August,
