THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION CALLS ON MOSLEMS TO LIBERATE TURKISTANIS Nar'Muhammed Khan, who recently came to Cyprus from Egypt, yesterday held a prss6 :onference at the Nicosia Brotherhood Club to inform the free world about -ie tragic condition of the Turkish Moslems of Turkistan. Nur !4uhammed has been away from Turkistan for 13 years, 10 of which have been spent in Egypt. However, he and 73 Turkish Moslems from Turkistan have or- ganized an association which has been keeping in touch with the Moslems in Turkistan and with Turkistani leaders abroad, especially those in India and Ger- many. The main objective of this association is to keep the free world informed of the sufferings experienced by the population of Turkistan at the hands of the USSR and China. Nur Muhammed explained that the Turkish Moslems in Turkistan are tortured constantly and live in daily terror of losing their lives; that more than five people are not allowed to get together; that they are afraid to talk with each other because they are surrounded by informers; and that they are in constant fear of being imprisoned or exiled to Siberia. He then pointed out that there is neither freedom of speech nor freedom of religion. While Moslems throughout the world are at present celebrating the Ramazan holidays, our brothers in Turkistan are deprived of this privilege, he declared, 3e told about the increasing number of guerrilla actions of the Turkish have pointing eecaped and are escaping torforeigncountrieshtor Mos st the lives,,s while againmany more state, avoid exile to Siberia. Finally, he called upon Moslem countries to unite in the cause of justice and to liberate their Turkish Moslem brothers of Turkistan from Soviet atrocit- ies and slavery.
