NOTE: i. For refineries delivering nonstabilized gasoline: A distillation
residue and loss not exceeding 5.5% is allowed; Reid vapor pressure
is not standardized.
ii. In gasoline manufactured from sulfur-containing petroleums, a sulfur
content act exceeding 0.6% is allowed.
iii. At points where gasoline is delivered to customers (oil "-?es) there
is allowed an increased gum content up to 20 mg/100 mlo, ~aeoline, a 20
exc_ss in temperatures throughout fractional distillation, and a 30 ex-
in cess the at the retort. end-point, as well as an additional 0.3% of residue
.
iv. The induction period is determined at the point of manufacture.
Storage limit for inhibited gasoline not to exceed 6 months from the
time of production.
vi. For straight-run gasoline and for mixtures of straight-run and
cracking gasoline, distillation temperature of the 10% traction is
not standardized; instead, a minimum of 20% is required f-e frac-
tions distilling off below 1000 C.
vii. In straight-run gasolines, the gum content and induction period are
not checked.
3. Packing, marking, handling, storage, and inspection of automobile gaso-
line are carried out as prescribed by GOST 1510-45.
4. Samp:.i..g of automobile gasoline is performed as prescribed by GOST
2517-44. The test sample consists of 2 liters of gasoline.
