Council of Industrial Cooperatives -- brick, lime. hard and soft leather goods, footwear, especially children's, aluminumware, salt mining, fish catch, carts and other vehicles, and furniture; Union of Invalids' Cooperatives -- footwear. Kolkhozes, sovkhozes, and MTS of the republic have begun mass cotton pick- ing; machines are used on a larger scale than last year. Harvesting of jute has improved considerably over 1950. Kolkhozes, MTS, and solkhozes are finishing harvesting of grain crops. Harvesting combines were used 26 percent more in 1951 than last year. The state plan for grain procurement was completed ahead of time. MTS completed 16 percent more tractor work by 20 October 1951 than by the same time last year.
