RECEIVE FIRST GENERATOR AT TSIMLYANSKAYA GES SITE -- Kiev, Pravda Ukrainy,

The first train carrying the basic units of Generator No 1 has arrived at
the Tsimlyanskaya GES site. The units will. be inspected and assembled into
larger aggregates at specially equipped bases.
COMPLETES THIRD GENERATOR EARLY -?? Moscow, Trud, 1 Sep 51
The Leningrad Elektrosila Plant has completed the third generator for the
Tsimlyanskaya GES project ahead of time. The first generator took 2 months and
20 days to build; the second, 2 mont'hs; and the third, one month and 18 days.
-BUILDS POWER UNITS FOR WORKERS' SETTLEMENTS -- Yerevan, Kommunist, 20 Jun 51
The Likino Machine-Building Plant has shipped its regular consignment of
portsble electric power units to Kakhovka, to be used for supplying electric
power for the illumination of workers' settlements. The technological Lc-n-?
struction7 cycle for these units has been reduced to 100 hours, and the assembly
time reduced in comparison with last year. This has enabled the plant to build
several PES-60 power units above the plant`l-11 units were shipped to the proj-
ects ahead of time.
SKIPS GENERATORS TO PROJECTS -- Moscow, Trud, 24 Aug 51
The Tambov Revolyutsionnyy Trud Electrical Machine-Building Plant has
skipped 20 ZhES-39 and ZbES-65 electric generators to the Stalingrad GES project,
six to the South Ukrainian Canal project, and 10 to the Kuybyshev GES project.

The Mogilev Metalworking Combine has completed orders for electric motors
for the Volga-Don and Main Turkmen Canal projects, and has just received a new
order from the Kuybyshev GES project.
The Tallin Vol'ta Plant has received orders for electric motors up to 100
kilowatts for the Volga-Don Canal project, to be filled by 15 August.
A competition has been initiated in the shops to complete the 7-ronth
program for commodity production by 21 July.

,Alma-Ata Electrical Repair Section No 5 of Tashkent Plant No 8, Ministry of
Electrical Industry USSR, is accepting orders for the repair of electric motors,
generators, and transformers of all kinds. Repairs will be carried out by
skilled specialists, and all necessary materials are available.
Charges x11.1 be made according to price list No 18, Ministry of Electrical
Industry USSR, confirmed by decree No 5847 of the Council of Ministers USSR on
27 December 1949,and according to rates set by the Ministry of Electrical Indus-
try USSR.
Large machines will be repaired at their place of installation by special
traveling brigades. Electric motors and generators up to 100-2.50 kilowatts
must be brought to Section 5 at this address; Alma-Ata, ulitsa M. Gor'kiy,
corner of ulitsa Mechnikov, 145.
