The Statistics Administratic?n Belor-asslan SSR reports that all industry
located in the republic fulfilled the gres production plan 105 percent, in-
cluding 104 percent by union iniu_+ry and 106 percent, by republic, Oblast,
and rayon industry.
Gross production in the Third quart-, 1941 1n^reased 16 percent, in
comparison with the third quarter 1950.

The workers of kolkhozes, MTS, and ecvkho_e -,f the republic fulfilled
the state plan for grain procurement by delivering high-quality grains (ex-
cluding buckwheat) 40 days earlier than in 1710. The plan for hay procure-
ment vat also -.ompleted ahead of schedule.
In 1951, kol.khe:es of the republic have c.ns:.derably increased the sown
area of grain crops, Industrial cop;, and perennial, and annual grasses.
Harvesting work is conducted and organized better than in 1950.
The mechanization of agricultural work ha; improved. Ac of 1 September
1951, MIS corapieted In kolkhozes 1.2 millior hectares more of tractor work
than during the corresponding period of 1950. Crain combines harvested con-
siderably more grain, and flax combines and flax-scutching machines harvested
more flax in 195.1 than in 1950.
Trading organization of the Peioru_clan SSR completed 98 percent of the
third-quarter plan for retail commodity turnover, including 96 percent by local
trading organizations and 95 percent by -onsumer;' cooperatives.
The volume of r"tail commodity turnover in state and cooperative trade in-
creased in the third quarter 1951 In compari:.nn with the third gcarter 1950.
During the third quarter 1951, kolkhoz markets in oblast centers increased
their sales f lard, butter, egee , and ether preduccc in comparison with the
third quarter 1950,
