ISSUES NEW IDENTIFICATION CARDS FOR SOLDIERS -- New York; Riportok es $irek

Males between the ages of 16 and 60 have been issued new soldier's identi-
fication cards which may be used as identification for inland travel. The
10 x 10 centimeter card is blue and contains the Sndividusl's mobilization
assignment. All males from 16 to 60 years of e3e have already received their
mobilization assignments. Persons who have nct yet served were also given
mobilization designatio-s.
All persons who receivaitheir orders are automatically placed under mili-
tary ,jurisdiction. According to special instructions, the bearers of :he
identification cards may not leave their places oP domici?.e, may not undergo
an operation, and may not accept decorations without the termissioz of the
headquarters of their military district. They may not change their political
affiliations without previously reporting their intent.

A huge air raid shelter i.s being built at the Nepliget terminus of the
new Budapest subway, now under construction. Tr? shelter, accommodating 1,500
persons, will also be accessible Prom the Nepliget Stadium.
