PRODUCE MACHINE TOOLS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE -- Moscow, Pravda, 19 Oct 51
In 1951, the Orsha Kxasnyy Borate Machine Tool Building Plant pro-
duced appruximatsly 400 different machine tools for construction projects.
At present, more machine tools are being manufactured to be shipped a month
ahead of schedule to the Stalingrad, Kuybyshev, and Volga-Don construction
projects.
The Gomel' Machine Tool Building Plant imeni Kirov is attempting to
send new machine tools to the Stalingrad hydroelectric construction project
ahead of schedule.
PUT OUT NEW MACHINE TOOLS -- Leningradskaya Pravda, 6 Nov 51
Testing of a hydraulic slotting machine manufactured for the Stalingrad
hydroelectric construction project has been successfully completed at the
Gomel' Machine Tool Building Plant imeni Kirov.
The first group of profile-bending machines was produced at the enter-
prise during the pre-October Stakhanovite Watch. Production of straightening-
sizing machines for the metallurgical industry was also mastered.

Recently, the Gomel' Machine Tool Building Plant imeni S. M. Kirov re-
ceived a new order for a slotting sachine with hydraulic drive for the Stalin-
grad hydroelectric construction project. Such machine tools had not been
produced at the plant earlier.

The Tbilisi Foundry and Machinery Plant shipped ten screw cutting lathes
to the Volga-non construction project 2 month-- ahead of schedule.
SHIP MACHINE T00'-a AHEAD OF SCHEWLE -- Yerevan, Kommuniat, 28 Nov 51
On 1 November, the Thi'J ei Machine Tool Building Plant imeni Kirov shipped
18 lathes and universal machine tools to the Volga-Don, Kuybyshev, and Stalin-
grad hydroelectric station pr"!ects ll months ahead of schedule.

The Sverdlovsk Bearing Plant is manufacturing measuring tools for the
construction projects.
