FARM MACHINES SHORN AT FF.AGUE FAIR
Many agricultural machines were demonstrated at a recent Prague trade fair.
Cne of the most interesti'g exhibits was a 60-horsepower CIOI-type caterpillar
tractor which draws two four-furrow plows.
Among harvesting equipment, the outstanding exhibit was a machine consisting
of three tractor binders in one. This group is capable of cutting 50 hectares
in 8 hours, which equals the work cf 8 tvo,-horse teams and 12 men. The new
model requires only three men to E-ervice it.
A recently perfected 35-horsepower Zetor tractor was prominently featured.
It draws a three-furrov plow which is raised hydrauli2ally. A 20-row seeding
3r1ll, 4 meters wide, was exhibited by Agrostro3 (Czech Agricultural Machine
Enterprise). This drill can be draws by any tractor.
A second product by the same manufacturer was a Pokrok 120-cubic meter flax
harvester which can work from 3 to 6 hectares of flax per day and only requires
two persons to service it.
