THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION BELORUSSLAN SSR FI1iST-QUARTER 1952 PLAA FULFILLMIVT The Statistics Administration Belorussian SSR reports that all industry within the republic fulfilled the first-quarter 1952 plan 103 percent, in- cluding 102.5 percent, by union industry and 103 percent by republic, Oblast, and rayon industry. Gross output of all industry increased 22 percent in the first quarter 1952 over the first quarter 1951. The majority of kolkhozes and sovkhozes stored and cleaned grain and legume seeds ahead of schedule. As of lApril 1952, kolkhozes of the republic stored 16 percent more graded grain and leg,..ne seeds and 21 percent more peren- nial grass seeds than during the same period of 1951. Tn 1952, 61 percent more manure and three times more peat were applied to the fields than in 1951. MrS of the republic are technically better equipped for spring work in 1952 than in 1951. As of 1 April 1952, MrS of the republic had repaired 20 percent more tractors and 62 percent more combines, and kolkhozes had repaired 7 percent more plows and 8 percent more seeders than on 1 April 1951. Belorussian SSR trading organizations completed 99.5 percent of the firat- quarter 1952 plan for retail trade commodity turnover, including 99 percent by local trading organizations and 98 percent by consumers' cooperatives. In the first quarter 1952, kolkhoz markets in oblast centers of the Belorussian SSR increased their sales of poultry, butter, and eggs over the first quarter 1951.
