The use of such clothing perrt.ts greater produc- tivity of carding machines and increases their speed. Mozo than 5,000 carding machines operating at 40 large-scale enterprises of the cotton industry have been equipped with all-metal aaw-toothed card clothing. The productivity of these machines has increased 10-20 percent. The cost of pro- duction has been decreased and the quality of yarn has improved. In 1952, several thousand more carding machines will be equipped with all- metal saw-toothed card clothing at enterprises in Moscow, Ivanovo, and a number of other oblasts.
