Last night's lowest temperature in Moscow was 19 degrees above zero; it was 24 degrees at noon today.(2) Yesterday during the day, rains fell and comparatively cool weather pre- vailed in Polotskaya, Molodechnenskaya, Baranovichskaya, and Pinskaya oblasts, and in eastern,Brestskaya and western Mins1Faya oblasts. Warm, dry weather pre- vailed in the rest of the republic. Temperatures at 1500 hours were 14 degrees in Vileyka, 16 in Baranovichi, 18 in Minsk and Pinsk, 21 in Polotsk, 23 in Grodno, 24 in Brest and Vitebsk, 26 in Bobruysk and Mogilev, and 27 in Gomel' and Moz'. Temperatures during the day were 18 degrees in Polotsk, 19 in Minsk, 22 in Pinsk, 23 in Lel'chitsy, 24 in Grodno, 25 in Gomel' and Brest, 26 in Mogilev, and 27 in Vasilevichi.(3) 3 August Yesterday's temperatures in Leningrad were 18 degrees above zero during the morning, 22 degrees during the day.(1)? For the most part, slightly cloudy weather without precipitation prevailed in the central regions of the European USSR, eastern Ukraine, and the Crimea.
