Scholarship Evaluation: Concise statement of aims of the Increase Production, Practice Economy Mcvemert Review: Reprint of a report by Kao Kang to the Senior Party Cadre Conference of Northeast China on 31 August 1951, and his address to the same group on 26 October regarding the launching of the Increase Production, Prac- tice Economy Movement. Kao Kang's report is an impassioned plea to the cadres to fight against corruption'and bureaucratism in the Northeast. Kao Kang's 26 October speech urges that the Increase Production, Prac- tice Economy Movement be broadened to include "anticorruption, Anti- extravagance, and antibureaucratism."
