Present Condition and Work of the Youth Corps" to the Central Committee
of the China New Democracy Youth Corps;, and the decision of this com-
mittee regarding the launching of the increase production and economy
drive.

Feng stated that there are 5,180,000 corps members, a 27-fold increase
over the 1949 enrollment, and that peasant youths constitute 52.11 per-
_:nt of the membership, workers 33.88 percent, and etude its 11.44 percent.
Feng discussed the participation of the corps in the And-reform move-
ment, in the labor emulatior campaign andin the campaign to suppress coun-
terrevolutionaries.
