HUNGARL9N GROUP DISCUSSES GDR METHOD OF COKING HROWN COAL On 18 April ].953, the Chemistry Department of the Hungarian Academy of Science held a discussion on the methods used for coking brown coal of high calorific value in the GDR (German Democratic Republic). The main speakers of the evening were Professors E. Rammler and G. Bil- kenroth, Ph.D., and Engineer Ernst Korn, all from the GDR. Slides xere shorn during the discussion. Among those who attended were Academicians Jozsef Varga, Elemer Szadeczky- Kardos, and Laszlo Erdei, secretary of the Chemistry Department of the Academy of Science.
