The following information is from the X52 Jen-min Shou-ts'e (People's
Handbook) published 1 July 1952. The source articles for the data are as
follows:
1. The average production in the country is from an article entitled
"Grent Achievements Made During the Past TVO Years" by Liaag Cheng-chieh
published by the Ta-chum Huna-veh in February 1952?
2. The high record in 1951 is from the mandate issued by the Ministry
of Agriculture of the Central People's Government to reward the Model Workers
creating records for high production in 1951. The mandate vas issued 16 March
1952.
3. From an editorial in the Peiping Jen-min Jih-pao on 17 December 1951.
For the USSR Pigures, the editorial quoted an article entitled "The ifigheet
Records per Mou of Chief Crops in the USSR" published by the Shanghai Ta Kun
Pao on 31 October 1951. '
