A total of 88,500 decares in Khaskovo Okr?Ig +are forested in 1952, and
87,000 decares were prepared for future forestation. During the spring of
1953, a total of 42,000 de :res in the ecrug will be forested and 17,700 decares
will be prepared for future forestation. Because of climatic conditions in the
okrug,.foreetation of level areas must be co.nplete,: by the end of February, ana
fo-estation of hilly terrain by 5 March 1953. The forest manag,menta (gorsko
stopanstvo)_in Kharmanli and Slavyanovo, whose directors are M. Toshkov and
T. Tochev Lrespectively%, are doing good work in gethering tree seeds. The
forest managements in Ardino and Zlatograd whose directors are Engineers
V. Yordanov and Ya. Georgiev / espectivelj~, have promised to fulfill their
plans.

The following are industrial forest managements (gorsko promishleno stopan-
stvo) in Burgas 0krug: N. Panicharevo, Burgas Okoliye; Duskotna, Aytos Okoliya;
Karnobat, Karnobat Okoliya; Rakovskovo, Pomorie Okoliya; Grudovo, Grudovo Okoliya;
Zvezdets, Malko"Turnovo Okoliya; Zabernovo, Malko Turnovo Okoliya; and Akhtopol,
Michurin Okoliya.
During the 5 years after 9 :3eptember 1944, a total of 1,350 kilometers of
forest roads were built in Bulgaria. Before that date, only 1,300 kilometers
of forest roads had been constructed. '

During 1952, a total of 84 courses for improving the skill of 2,540 forest
workers were organized. A total of 154 Stakhanovite schools for 952 lumberjacks
were established. Stakhanovite schools for lumberjacks were established in
Gabrovo, Elena, Kolarovgrad, use, Stalin, Kotel, Sliven, Stanke Dimitrov, San-
danski, and '.-.,yan. During 1953, a total of 150 Stakhanovite schools will be
organized for 850 lumberjacks, as well as short courses for 200 planners and
norm formulators, and courses for 300 dendrologists and 2C0 accountants.
Industrial forest enterprises surpassed Lfulfilled?7 the May 1953 plan by the
following percentages: the enterprises in Kotel, 122; in :,liven, 115: in
Plovdiv, 107; in Devin, 104; in Peshtera, 126; in Velingrad, 109; in Razlog, 122;
in Gotse Delchev, 113; in Sandanski, 110: in Dir.:itrov, 1,6; In Samo;ov,
134; in Ber::Ovitsa, 135; in Gabrovo, 10j; in i;olarovgrad, 154; in Stalin, 122;

land have been reforested in Bulgaria.
